Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Trade Certification, Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Red Seal Certificate

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Human Resources Responsibility: 1 - 5

Workers Supervised: Heavy duty equipment mechanics

Major Work Area: Inspection, Maintenance, Overhaul, Repair, Service, Testing

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial

Specific Skills: Supervise workers and projects, Coordinate and schedule activities, Train or arrange for training, Ensure adherence to safety standards

Additional Skills: Prepare production and other reports, Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Site Environment: Noisy
