Title: Material handler (NOC: 7452)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Evening

Salary: $14.00 to $17.50 Hourly for 40 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Calmar, Alberta (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required

Experience: Experience an asset

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Warehouse, Retail and wholesale distribution centre, Lumber/forestry industry

Vehicle and Equipment Experience: Dollies and hand trucks, Pallet lifters, Industrial lift trucks and forklifts, Light trucks

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Specific Skills: Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment, Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products, Pick orders and stock, Weigh materials and goods, Make labels and attach to goods, Wrap goods, Pack and unpack goods, Sort goods, Stack goods, Store cargo and materials, Maintain and organize inventory

Additional Skills: Build pallets, Customer service skills

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Gloves

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, At heights, Dusty

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning
