Description

Position: Class 1 Driver – Long Haul

Required by: ASAP

Status: Full Time

Location: Langley, BC

Rate of Pay: As per Collective Agreement - $ per mile rates depending on trip and $ per drop rates

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to HOS regulations

• Handling of freight documents/manifests

• All other duties as reasonably assigned

• Prompt delivery of freight

General Requirements/Qualifications:

• Have a valid Class 1 license

• Provide clean drivers abstract; valid within the past 30 days and no more than 3 demerits

• Must have a minimum of two years driving experience

• Provide a criminal background check; must be bondable

• Have steel toed safety boots

• Have good knowledge of driver log books, inspection reports (pre, en route and post trip) and trip reports

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds – hand bombing may be required.
