Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, Evening

Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Group Insurance Benefits

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Calgary Distribution Centre, Alberta (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Refinishing and repair shop

Type of Furniture: Wood furniture, Metal furniture

Specific Skills: Set up and operate finishing machines or finish furniture by hand, Stain or finish wood to specified colour, Apply toners, highlights, glazes or shaders to obtain desired finish, Apply lacquer or other sealers, Sand metal furniture to prepare for finish and spray with paint or other materials, Make minor repairs to furniture

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Noisy, Dusty

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

Other Information:Previous furniture repair experience an asset. Must be able to travel to Lethbridge/Medicine Hat & Red Deer on repair calls. Must be able to work evenings & weekends. Clean class 5 drivers abstract.
