Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Supervisory Experience: Food service counter attendants and food preparers, Kitchen and food service helpers, Cooks

Specific Skills: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, Establish work schedule, Estimate and order ingredients and supplies, Ensure food service and quality control, Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, Prepare and submit reports

Additional Skills: Establish methods to meet work schedules, Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, Prepare budget and cost estimates

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Fast-paced environment, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods

Ability to Supervise: 1 to 2 people
