Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Forklift Operator Certification

Experience: Experience an asset

Languages: Speak English, Read English

Work Setting: Retail and wholesale distribution center, Warehouse, Commercial facility

Type of Equipment: Pallet lifters, Lift trucks and fork-lifts

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Type of Operation: Computerized inventory control

Specific Skills: Determine method of shipment, Schedule distribution of goods, Schedule transportation conveyances, Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents, Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, Record shortages and reject damaged goods, Pack goods to be shipped, Unpack goods received, Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, Oversee loading and unloading of goods
