Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Day, Night, Evening

Salary: $23.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Surrey-White Rock, British Columbia (4 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:

Education: Not required

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A)

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Languages: Speak English

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles), Tractor-trailer, Tractor-trailer A train, Tractor-trailer B train, Flatbed, Van, Refrigerated, Dry bulk

Type of Travel: Long-haul

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)

Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Plan travel schedules and routes, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel for extended periods, Valid driver's licence
