Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Sheet metal shop

Type of Machine or Equipment Set Up or Operation: Punch presses

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Read specifications or follow verbal instructions, Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making

Other Information:Required to set-up and operate various presses. Must be familiar with the interpretation of shop drawings and blueprints and the use of various measuring equipment
